I did three lessons with this guy, and now I can drive my manual car with ease. I recommend to anyone learning to call this guy. Affordable and he travels, what more can you ask for.
My brother and I did a lesson with Amir last month before my trip to Spain. I’d never driven stick before and needed to learn quickly as manual transmission cars are much cheaper to rent.
My brother had prior experience with stick and I had none but Amir was able to teach me a great deal in our two hour session. My brother and I had fun and I ended up picking it up very quickly due to Amir’s patient guidance. Amir is a great teacher and I definitely can attest to his terrific lessons!

I had very little experience using manual and i would stall constantly. I must say that Amir is very patient and talented at pin pointing what i was doing wrong. Luckily for me he travels, because i live by the Verrazano bridge in Brooklyn and its hard for me to find someone as affordable and flexible as Amir. I recommend anyone looking to learn manual transmission within a short period of time to stick with this guy, hell he even got me driving manual with confidence.
i was looking to drive stick shift because my husband’s car is a stick shift subaru outback and i had to learn if i wanted to get around. it stressed me out to drive it (or learn to drive it) so learning from my husband was just not going to happen. i called some schools and called amir. amir laid out a pretty good deal so i went with his lessons. i had a great time learning: amir is a pleasure to learn from, very patient and very thoughtful in his feedback. driving around with amir put my mind at ease and i was able to drive on the road without too much difficulty in a rather short amount of time. i would have to say he has been the most effective driving instructor i’ve had including my regular driving lessons back when i was a young teen. i would not hesitate to take lessons from him again or recommend him to anyone who’s looking to drive stick shift. Amir was really patient, coaching me through stall after stall. Within a pretty short time, you can find yourself mastering what you will need to keep your manual auto moving smoothly. Then, you’ll just have to master hill starts! (Which Amir also teaches, the correct way!).
I would not hesitate at all to recommend him to anyone.

He is a seasoned professional, patient, knowledgeable and very amiable. In less than 2 hours, I felt confident enough to take any stick shift onto the road by myself.

He was very patient and made me feel very comfortable. He is also very thoughtful, not only did he pick me up from the train station but spent extra time with me on hill starts when he found out I was going to Ireland (it’s very hilly there).
